After gaining her Yoga Alliance Instructor Certification in 2009 through Yoga Works, I have continued to add to credentials, my last teacher training was received in 2013 - Instructor Certification from Rainbow Kids Yoga. I have worked with a focus on bringing the positive benefits of yoga to children and adults, in addition to socially- conscious concerns such as youth in distress/dealing with trauma via the OM for Youth, Instructor Certification. I am an active participant with the Kids Yoga Academy - an organization committed to the development and teaching of youth-focused curriculum. I have participated in classes and studios both locally and abroad for almost two decades, gaining a deep understanding of the requirements and necessary elements of what makes a solid and enjoyable practice for anyone, regardless of age or physical ability. From an operational standpoint, I have experience working within a studio, and teaching in a broad range of environments across the world - including right in one's own home. You can find my classes in various Strathcona County and Edmonton schools, teaching the benefits of yoga to a variety of age groups from Preschool to Junior High, as well as volunteering with Parent Link in Strathcona County that has brought yoga to children, caregivers and new Mothers - free of charge in a class and park setting.
